The car did have to stand out last night - poor thing - and it was -3?F so it got a touch chilly.
Anyway, this morning, the audio system made popping and hissing sounds from various speakers, a bit like test tones running around the car in a loop, before settling into silence. And then, that is where all remained despite switching the car off and back on (several times), rebooting the MMI (several times), switching the power to the MMI on and off (several times).
Finally, after sitting the car in the sun for the past 6 hours, the system now works again.
Anyone know where the amp / preamp(s) are located so that I can check out the connections?
All the other elctronc systems seemed to work, including the radio, CD changer, Navigation (except voice control). Just no sound.
An $80k car that doesn't like the cold!

It's just like me... it likes to be pampered :-)

sorry, I can't offer any help, but I don't like to be cold either! I don't think I could make any noise either if I was in -3 temperature - I think we got down in the 30's last night and I still haven't warmed up!

When closing any door the right rear speaker would pop. The A6's problem was the Amp/sound system control module. The amp is in the trunk behind the left cover. Give it a tap!
