in the security edition? The price option I've heard is an extra $300k give or take a couple thousand, is this about right? I would only be looking for it to be bulletproof, no office machines are necessary. Thanks in advance.

It will not be available to citizens of the United States due to DOT and other Federal Agencies' regulations. For those in other countries, you first must apply for evaluation to see if you qualify (Diplomatic, Security Forces, Law Enforcement, residents of High Risk Countries). If you fit the criteria after the background searches, a representative of the High Security department of quattro GmbH will be made available to share details of the car and assist in order, training and delivery. Also these cars will not be available to the general public even on the secondhand market. Audi AG will purchase them back if the current owner is done with the vehicle.
Cost if one qualifies is just over $464k at todays exchange rate.

I think boehm781 was asking if there will be an S8 security. I don't think he is interested in a A8/A8L W12 security.

Cost depends on the level. B3 would run somewhere between $30k - 50k depending on whether you go with steel or aramid protection. For each level above that it increases exponentially. What do you need an armored S8 in the US for?

All of which is a little odd, becuase you can purchase both a Mercedes Guard and a BMW Protection for the US.
