View Full Version : Broke the $70 barrier today for self-pumping gas... and that's with a SWB car FallenBMWer 10-12-2005, 09:22 AM Mr. Ricco 10-12-2005, 11:37 AM D3AeighT 10-12-2005, 11:55 AM I put regular in the last fill up since ATL's choices a couple weeks ago were limited. BTW, it ran OK. Guess the ECU adjusted itself. Germanic 10-12-2005, 01:08 PM D3AeighT 10-12-2005, 01:24 PM We still have it good. 1980 inflation adjusted prices in 2005. greenie 10-12-2005, 04:40 PM Paldi 10-12-2005, 05:39 PM EuroA8 10-13-2005, 05:17 AM In my country (Belgium): Super 98+ 1.407 euro/liter Super 95 1.365 euro/liter Diesel 1.121 euro/liter I drive the A8 diesel, if I'm correct that would be $ 1.35 for me. No diesel in the US, so that's $ 1.68 per liter for gasoline over here. greenie 10-13-2005, 06:07 AM TheBrit 10-13-2005, 07:09 AM But, boy is it good fun for those 320 miles! Feuerstein 10-13-2005, 07:18 AM $1.74/liter, $6.59/US gallon - regular $1.83/liter, $6.93/US gallon - premium (No wonder the A4 is so popular with 1.6 engine here - we've also got lots of D2 A8 2.8) FallenBMWer 10-13-2005, 08:41 AM Well, I've clearly been put in my place; no more pathetic yammering about gasoline prices from me. Instead, I hereby pledge to contribute $70 every time I refuel my A8 to the European A8 Owners Petrol Relief Fund. If all of us in the US did likewise, our European counterparts would continue to be able to hit the open roads with Yankee abandon and that, once again, there'd be "bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover." I'm certain if the tables were turned, our friends from across the sea would do the same. Paldi 10-13-2005, 09:53 AM D3AeighT 10-13-2005, 09:59 AM Remembering that it's all about taxes in Euroland & GB too. TheBrit 10-13-2005, 10:00 AM Jitney 10-13-2005, 12:59 PM In Germany, I put in 75 liters of Esso Benzine Super Plus yesterday. The price on the pump was 104.25 Euro ($128.83) Thanks to the US Forces contract with Esso, the price to me was only $57.75. |
