View Full Version : Interesting perspective from autospies jprescott 10-07-2005, 08:05 AM

http://www.autospies.com/article/index.asp?articleId=5515&categoryId=1</a

Paldi 10-07-2005, 08:10 AM Phaeton lease is about $750.00 Arkay 10-07-2005, 08:56 AM I get their weekly e-mail newsletters and only skim through them, stopping once in a while for a spy photo item, but the reader comments are just hilarious! And not just for the misspelled words and poor grammar... I see lots of Audis here in NYC (where I work) and northern NJ where I live. Mostly the new A6 and A4s, but lots more D3 A8s than before (was traveling with 3 others on the highway just yesterday). So I think it's market specific...let's face it, customers in the southern U.S. are less likely to be concerned with Quattro traction and performance in the snow! If I were in the market today, for me, it would be a tough call! Der Kimbo 10-07-2005, 01:36 PM schnellmb 10-08-2005, 07:56 AM about their pricing. Go in to a dealer about an A3, and they won't even quote a lease. They just laugh. I was told by one dealer that they don't care if they sell them or not. The leasing of the A6, until now with a bone base model, has been rediculous. Audi thinks they are just up-pricing the car to compete w/the other boys, but their cars depreciate faster than out of date medications. Add on the bs they are pulling on their warranties (i.e. brake rotors)....... Davey 10-08-2005, 09:47 AM lease prices in the autospie article is correct, then there is an opportunity to sell many more vehicles. You just can't be that far out of the ballgame with your pricing in this competitive market. |
