View Full Version : hmmmm??? says all my tires are low. mabod 10-04-2005, 04:04 PM for days now. Is there a reset button for the tire measuring gismo? maybe they are but I kicked them and they felt fine . Plano-4.2 10-04-2005, 04:21 PM Have you done quantitative verification? A64.2wasme 10-04-2005, 08:32 PM like at the beach. Happened last week after bombing up to Santa Barbara - when I came back to the car 3 hours later it said all the tires were low. They weren't actually, and "Storing" the values doused the warning. Try that. greenie 10-05-2005, 05:05 AM mabod 10-05-2005, 07:37 AM I was never good t math. LOL. What do you mean? greenie 10-05-2005, 07:42 AM Plano-4.2 10-05-2005, 08:30 AM As A64.2wasme said, jsut re-store the pressures and the warning goes away. Funny thing just happened to my Conti's ( never happened since I put them on at 14K now 22K ), they all four dropped in pressure about 4 pounds at the same time. Realizing I don't check the pressure that often so I'm sure it it happened over 30 days or so. But yesterday all four including the spare were all down to around 29 pounds. Did a store, came back next day and still below 30. Put air in this AM and wham all sitting at the 36 I put in "manually" ( for those in Rio Linda ). Plano-4.2 10-05-2005, 01:55 PM But I don't have the manual in front me......you know the rest ;-) I've gotten in the habit of checking my pressures via the MMI every day. You get a feel for how the pressures react to temperature. It certainly sounds like the ambient temp decreased enough to trigger the warning. So basically the TPMS did it's job and got you to add air to the tires. That'll help w/ gas mileage. mabod 10-05-2005, 06:28 PM Yes I did. They measure higher than the MMI says although they are all about 30PSI which is lower than the 19" recommended levels are. D3AeighT 10-06-2005, 07:48 AM Tire Pressure Monitor & ReFill System...will pay for itself in increase gas mileage and never go flat on small punctures. Why can't they invent a wheel with a hole that is attached for an "air supply" ( use the suspension air pump)input and use the suspension pump for air...lol Plano-4.2 10-06-2005, 09:25 AM |
