My last loaner had the 1.8T in it, seemed so underpowered, especially merging onto the freeway!

1) Put some aggessive "miles" on it. Just think you don't have to worry about your own tires getting worn abit on a "curve or corner you've always wanted to take abit faster".
2) Saving miles on your D3
3) You can eat lunch in ( if it strikes your fancy and NOT worry about "the MMI crumb effect".
4) You don't park it in the SOUTH 40 to avoid dings on the doors. GO ahead and take that close in spot for the time being.

due to average or better than average reliability. They have done so since late 2004. So I guess it is no surprise than your A4 2.0T loaner is trouble free.
