What Bluetooth phones work with the A8? Does the Verizon 710 work now? I am on Verizon and prefer not to switch carriers. Will I really need to switch?

This is not my first forum post. Of course I did a search b4 posting. I did several searches actually. I could not find the answer, otherwise I would not have posted it. A little help please.

and it will work. To get the latest updates, you'll need a bluetooth card on your PC and set up a bluetooth network.....then download the patch from Verizon and upload it to your phone via bluetooth.

It's a PITA the first time you do it......but once it's done....it's done.

I hate setting up networks and moreso bluetooth networks!

The v710 will work as long as you have firmware version 8700_01.40.0R. The firmware has been officially released by Verizon so any store should be able to update it for you. The phonebook transfer does not work, but caller ID and all other functions do (signal strength, etc.). The only other issue I had was the phone periodically would fail to pair. Either turning the phone off and on or turning BT in the phone off and then on would allow it to link properly (I set up a shortcut to the BT submenu on the main mane of the phone).
