First, Thanks for all of your good wishes and thoughts on my behalf.

Actually, my topic should be: Backseat motoring. Until this week, I had never been a passenger in my own backseat. So nice and comfy, love having my own climate control (seems like I'm always freezing these days), plus, I'm supposed to keep my left leg elevated, so I can stretch it out and rest it on the center armrest and still be very comfortable. Now I just have to get Randy to wear the driver's uniform :)

Today's my first day back online, so I've just barely scanned the board. Sounds like lots of people have gotten their Sat. radios installed. I don't see much MMI chatter :) Sorry to hear about Stirs A8 (glad you're okay Stirs). And we all learned a valuable lesson from A.A. about what happens when you mix a steep driveway + a flat tire + an incompetent tow truck driver = disaster!

It's good to be back up and about - albeit moving at a snails pace. Have a great weekend everyone!

Read on for the not-so-gory details....

I was supposed to have two surgeries-in-0ne on Nov. 3, however, my first procedure that was supposed to take an hour - ended up taking more like 4.5 hrs. So, the second half of surgery was cancelled. One and a half days after discharge from hospital, back again with a blood clot in my leg and an embolism in my lung - another fun stay in the hospital <not> Now I get to look forward to the rest of my surgery now taking place after the new year. Anyone know a good hemotologist in the Bay area ??

traceable to Eastern Europe. Damn glad your back. You have always given this Forum more than a little touch of class. Please take care of yourself and don't rush your recovery.

Yes, I'm finally off the narcotic drugs, so hopefully, I might be up to some small trips next week. I'm sure Randy will be more than ready to hand over the kid-pooling duties.

Great to hear that you're doing well. Hmmm, I've never had someone else drive my car, let alone while I ride in the back.

We've been looking forward to some more Monday items ;-)

Nobody else has driven your car?

I guess I better start brainstorming... you'd think with all this time on my hands I'd have some new ideas for upcoming Mondays.

hehe, my dad is from there.... :-) I mess with the blood drive people on occasion who come to our work place. I put on my best accent (sound like my dad) I ask to make a withdraw.

Hope you are able to make a quick recovery from your next surgery. Maybe you can get Randy to install a Rear Seat Entertainment system and a cool Audi fridge?

Plus it's a bit hard to drive when my car is locked in my garage for a month or more while I'm out of the country. Yep just rolling up the miles ;-)
