Nice, nice car. Akoya Silver, Sand, paddle shift, etc., etc. 20" machine finished Maya DTS wheels with 255-35-20 Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S (check out Tire Rack ratings if you're interested) installed today. Hope the tire shop can make the sensors work. A raft of stuff to learn. Love the interior lighting options (figured them out at three this morning, after a spirited drive in the foothills). Paddle shifting takes some getting used to, but I think I'm going to like it.
No Bluetooth or MMI integration yet (or ever, I guess for 2004 and early 2005s). Instead I've "installed" my own V60 in the cigarette lighter and use a Bluetooth Jabra wireless earpiece. Also using Verzon's Voicegear service, which gives me voice tag access ("Call Greenie") to 1000 or so computer-entered numbers by dialing a single number. I can also voice enter numbers ala OnStar (much, much, much cheaper minutes).
Anyhow, off to figure out the radio!

I don't remember hearing of any of the other D3's putting on aftermarket wheels, I can't wait for the pics.

Does your car feature the dynamic headlamps like in the 2005 A6?
Do you have the advanced key option?

it makes them appear cheap; they aren't as you know. May I suggest the proper way to announce the retrieval of an Audi might go something like this. . . . .Having receipt via courier notification that my Audi was presenting himself for his Coming Out party, I had Charles warm up the Rolls so I could retrieve this fine specimen.
Please, take a crack at it (darn, I am using political language again, sorry) I am sure you all can come with something better.
Thanks. No to both questions. Headlights are undynamic, Key is retarded. I was trying to keep new electroinc "features" to a minimum. Didn't even opt for the self-opening trunk, wanting to avoid some of the troubles I've seen described on this forum.
As for pictures, I'm not very adept, photographically, so I'm not sure I'll be able to manage it. If I get one those toss-away cameras, what do I do next?

A couple of things about this picture of the Maya DTS wheel. What you're looking at is a deep-dished version and chromed version of the wheel I bought. Mine has about a 1.5 inch rim and is a machined aluminum matte finish. Very subtle, but strong-appearing. By my taste, anyhow. Barely any bling at all.
As for the calipers, the wheel/tire guys told me they looked the same as the ones on the Bentley coupe. High praise, I think, maybe.
By the way, the aftermarket sensors worked after "initallizing" the new wheels through the MMI. The system did get confused, though, when I drove home with the stock 17s (with their sensors) in the trunk and back seat (carefully wrapped).

Welcome. This is a really good forum--I've learned a lot. 13200 trouble free miles on my 04 A8L serial 8170. I'm hoping we can retrofit the satellite radio soon (if ever)
