I called 2 weeks ago and was told they would have a loaner by the end of the week. After 2 weeks of waiting I called back. Voice mail, etc.
Now I'm told it will be 2-3 weeks before they have a car to loan me during service. So that's a 5 week wait.

If no Audi loaners are available. I'm guessing your dealer knows that they can't give you the POS my dealer pays for us lower Audi drivers, and would rather you hold out and wait for one of their loaners to come in than drop the big bucks on the "luxury" rental.

at any time. As of late, they have been scheduling my appointments based on an available loaner.

I have a feeling I'll be getting an A8 loaner when they fix this latest snafu with my CD changer, though.

But isn't it amusing that I paid $40k for a car and that gets me a $15k loaner? I'm not complaining - beats having to take a day off work to wait for the car or pay for one myself. Granted if I paid $80k I'd expect something nice, but the disparity is striking, and I think it explains why at least my overall service experience has been better than it was with my B5 Passat.

Seriously, I've been able to get my car in within a day or two - course, one of those times I ended up with the Caddy!

So far the Audi customer service from 2 dealers, Audi of America and the Audi Advocate has convinced me to make this, my 4th Audi, my last.

maybe someday I'll sign up for some lessons :) For now, I just have to be satisfied beating my kids at mini-golf! Not to brag... but I am pretty good at that hole with the rotating windmill blades ;)

don't have any car like an A8. then proceeds to tell me that for $XX.XX amount more, i can get into a car with power windows... such as a Lincoln LS.

know what? damn power windows always gets me! trust me. it ain't the lincoln ls.

He's either a good salesman and/or i'm a power window hungry loanee.

Audi only pays up to $25/day on a loaner if you have to have your car in for service.

It is dependent upon the dealer to secure you a better car via their own fleet or get you a loaner via a rental agency. Since I've never asked them to give me an Audi, I just assumed what I got was what I got.

Maybe I was supposed to be offered something nicer? are all A8 owners supposed to get Audis?

The majority of dealerships...esp. Audi, use Enterprise loaners, hence the so called $25 per day allowance. Its the same as with VW where Phaeton customers are to be provided with a Phaeton, Touareg or Passat W8 free of charge.

Did not know that. Nor did the service manager tell me nor did my salesperson.

And I never inquired. So either they blame me for being naive or i blame them for taking advantage of me.

I'm starting to get alittle fired up now.

Please tell me whether this is truly indeed the case.
