I had to make a quick turnaroud trip to the Bay Area - up and back L.A., Oakland, San Rafael, Healdsburg, San Rafael, L.A. Very light traffic, cover of darkness on a clear night (we have air patrol during daylight hours) and my V1 conspired to create an unusual opportunity. At 100mph on the smooth asphalt it was not breaking a sweat. Without really recognizing it I'd eased my speed up to the governor, which comes in all but imperceptibly at an indicated 137mph - no jerky cut off. At those speeds there was no vibration, not much noise other than tire thrum (those 19inchers), and complete smooth composure from the steering and suspension. It was very confidence-inspiring.
This trip reminded me why having this car is a good thing. I can only imagine what the 6.0L will be like.
