The oem tv tuner resides in the trunk on the left side. It is the gateway to adding multiple A/V sources into the MMI. If you or any other D3 guys can get me a pic of what is behind the left trim panel in the trunk, I'll be able to see if the US bound cars come with it already mounted back there. I highly doubt it though. If it isn't there, I can get the oem tv tuner. I just haven't found anyone that can tell me if it is 100% there or not in US cars.

I need these pics and you need video on the MMI screen. Round up the troops and get me these pics. Thanks.

BTW, if it is there you will have saved yourself a **** load of $$. The prices I got for the oem tuner are ridiculous, between 700-900 euro.

The oem tv tuner has a red 20 pin plug connected on top of it (it may be tied up out of the way). It is located under the Nav drive between the oem radio tuner module and the quarter panel.....I'm almost positive.

The tuner comes already set up for aux A/V. It uses MOST technology to communicate with the rest of the MMI system.

100% sure b/c i have seen pics of it and it's location.

worse, even if we are able to get it through a source, we can't be sure that our cars are pre-wired for it.

sucks but at least we got the a8 :)
