If a trip is planned that crosses over a timezome, does the estimated time of arrival account for this? Or do the calculations ignor timezone changes? Anyone near two timezones know? Couldn't find anything about this with the search.

get out of our driveways without problems. ..the real question is; has any A8L actually make it into a different time zone?

I'm road tripping up to Colorado and am curious about the calculation.
Should I ask how Mr. Plum is doing?

chatter about Audi's and sex. Let us know what you find out.
Drove back Sunday from NM to AZ and IIRC the ETA showing was MST (AZ) time. Of course half the new freeway system in Phx area was missing from Nav maps. Oh, well.

Since it's daylight saving, Phx should the same as PST, not MST. So your ETA should have showed you arriving a X, but the time really was X - 1 hour?
Arizona a tough case to go by since it doesn't do daylight savings.

Considering its using the time on your clock in your car, unless you flip the time as you cross time zones. I dont think cars have evolved to that point yet. (why I am not sure since we already have alarm clocks that can set them selves, you just need to tell it what time zone its in and it knows!)

where the timezones are located.
Not really...us desert rats (except Navaho and Hopi nations) REALLY do not need to save daylight in the summer, but that has no effect on the answer to your question.
When I left NM Sunday morn the GPS was showing an ETA at home of 1625. That would of course be 1725 in NM (MST vs MDT) . We arrived at 1623 MST. That is all the data I have. I hope it helps.

PS I have to believe the GPS ETA is calculated from satellite data and integrates travel speed info. Would not seem very good engineering practice to base it on the car's clock. I have not checked this but it would be pretty easy..

When I had to change the clock for daylight savings...it automatically changed the arrive time (appropriately) for my Nav usage.
very cool.
