What exactly is happening?

My car is in for it's 5K service on Monday. I sent my speedo chart to my service advisor, he says he'll see what they can do to reduce the error. We'll see.

started to rise! I had complained about this before but the dealer "could not duplicate" the problem. I didnt think much of it until I returned to the car after shopping to find it in AUTOMATIC or higher. I always drive in dynamic! the little green arrow was pointing down but I couldnt get it down. Of course, after I restarted, it must have cleared because it settled into the dynamic mode. Also, I was traveling at about 35 MPH and the speed warning tone and symbol appeared. the spped warning in the MMI is set at OFF. Also(happy you asked?), the lights are set to stay on 1 minute after I leave the car. Now, its hit or miss! I havent quite decided my course of action at this point but I will do something. No, Im not moving to Miami! LOL

...number one or number two? [Note to readers: insert your own joke here.]

I ask because if it was number one, perhaps you inadvertently set it while driving by pressing the check button. Just a thought.

Everytime I drove over 30 mph it would beep at me - I thought I was losing my mind. I checked the MMI and it said the speed warning was off - After parking the car and re-starting, the alarm went away. Broke out the manual and it all made sense - I didn't know you could inadvertantly [ or purposely ] set the alarm by pushing the check button while driving.

Especially the part about the dealer :)

I haven't had enough experience with my service dept. to gauge how competent they are - but, when I told them the door on the front ash tray wouldn't open & close correctly - they ordered me a new cup holder! If this is any indication as to their capabilities, I'm a little concerned. They called yesterday and left me voice-mail to tell me my part was in - I guess I'll call and see what part they actually received :)

The sales dept. at the dealer leave a bit to be desired - I'm sure I know way more about my car in the month I've owned it, than my salesman knew after selling them for 4+ years. Good thing we love our cars so much that we can over-look the corporate short-comings.
