Or does it use this same jack as the D2? If it's improved, I'll probably get one and stop carrying a floor jack in the trunk.

Sorry, it looks like it's the same one - the label on it says "audi Model OZO" if that means anything to you. Looks a little wimpy, does it really hold this car up?

Never rest your hand on top of a tire when the car's on the jack, and never ever stick your head in the wheel well without using jack stands.
Last year at Grattan with his A8 on the jack in a flat section of the paddock area, Docmusolf removed his hand from the top of tire about one second before the jack collapsed. I don't recommend even trying to use this jack if the ground isn't perfectly flat.

I figure if I get a flat on the freeway, there's no way I'm getting out to fix it - I'll gladly leave that to the professionals. It's not often that I use the 'helpless female' excuse, but this is one time I probably would.

WOW!!! So am I not the only one to have a D2 jack crumple while changing a flat???
