Recently updated from 2740 to 4140. Yesterday, the directory was gone, whether trying to access in TEL or NAV. This morning it was back. WTF?

Changed phones, Razr to LG. First, it refused to pair. Then it would pair and lose it. Then it would not pair upon entering the car. Then phonebook would appear and disappear. Now all is well! Could this be artificial intelligence? MMI has a brain with a learning pathway and needs to be reinforced.
