Loose Nuts. Loose Nuts who? Loose Nuts No More.
My 2006 A6 S-line always had this annoying knock or "bump" as the front driver side wheel would hit a bump in the road. It drove me nuts! Dealer didn't find any issues. I read here on AW that many people had loose Steering Control Arms bolts on C5s and C6s which caused loose steering and knocking.
As I was switching my Summer wheels back on I decided to check them...L and R sides were loose! My C6 has 17K! Each nut took 3 rotations to snug it up and now...No Knocks what-so-ever! Check yours this weekend. Easy fix.
