Rear park sensors just died. I do not know what the cause is. Does anybody know if this is a MMI update issue too?

It died after I connected my bluetooth phone and it also rained yesterday and now it does not beep eventough I engage into reverse.

Once in a while it will engage with a confirmation beep but will not beep when an incoming object is present.

I almost run into my wife's car this morning while trying to test the park sensors.

Anybody have a clue to what's wrong on this?

per the work order "Replace rear buzzer" Not sure what exactly the "buzzer" is, but was done under warranty and now everything is fine.

I had my windows tinted at the dealer, and when he was using the squeegee to get the water off the back window, it dripped right into some component that controls the Parktronic and fried it. It was fixed under warranty and works fine now. It was odd because while it was fried, I didn't even show a Parktronic option in the MMI menu, now it does.

it is wierd....they were not working this morning and now when the weather is dry again, it seems perfectly o.k.

I guess that I will still have to request for warranty repair....
