IanB 04-05-2008, 05:07 AM jazznuts699 04-06-2008, 01:06 AM jazznuts699 04-06-2008, 06:03 AM there are not too many options you can do to the 4.2, but below are some, others may add more 1. exhaust, adds very little hp but improves sound :) 2. i think there is a chip out there that removes rev limiter and speed gov. 3. there is a supercharger kit out there but the application may be limited to s4 v8 only -- this will run you around 15k if not more 4. invest in a CPO S6 -- they are going down in price like a land slide, gas mileage will be similar to 4.2 (slightly worse but not by much - from what folks have commented on the forum) 5. invest in an S4 -- smaller package similar hp engine, you will notice a difference. You can pick up plenty with NAV and 6-speed so if you do not mind the space loss and depreciation hit on your 4.2 this is a good option. I couldn't get over to huge depreciation hit -- dealers were only willing to give me 34-35 for my 4.2 :( so i'm keeping it until the new s4 turbo comes out |
