How can I check having the AMI fitted are not?
Because I would like to play MP3 from USB, or are there other easy solutions?

Look in the glove box. Should be a little drawer next to the CD changer if you have AMI. Otherwise you will need to order the retrofit kit from the dealer ($$$$) or get the Denison gateway 500. In the states it's available online for $449 at

Thanks for the feed back. I checked and I do not have AMI. I do have the CD charger in the glove box.
But I don't use the CD charger. Is there a solution to use an USB or Ipod-adapter instead of the CD charger??

You can pull the CD-Changer and install the AMI interface box. It is plug and play. You can order it your dealer or genuineaudiparts.com

I will email you with part numbers. Have the dealer do an MMI update first. You need to be running at least 3340.
