View Full Version : any reccomendations on springs LINEa_roja_de_S 04-12-2007, 04:21 PM I am looking to drop an 06 A6 avant 3.2 a few inches. TIA Kevin B 04-12-2007, 06:47 PM I don't think you want to drop a few inches though! brokerjoe 04-12-2007, 07:22 PM I thought the back end was just a tad too high but since I have back seat passengers once in a while & don't exhibit any rubbing maybe that's a good thing. But just a word of advise, get the Koni FSD's to compliment the overall ride. I think you'll be pleased with this setup. With some Audis I don't recommend springs with stock shocks, but it works fairly well with the C6. However, if I were going to do it over I think I would have gone with the Konis due to their positive reviews here and low price. pierreb 04-13-2007, 10:23 AM brokerjoe 04-13-2007, 03:42 PM I guess the consensus is, if you plan on keeping the car for a long period of time say 2-5 years or longer then it's advisable to change the shock/strut setup with the lowering springs but the poster stated he was only keeping the car for like a year & wanted to get away with just the springs. If you're going to keep the car then change the shocks but if not then you could probably get away with it for a while. But you won't be dissapointed with the Koni's if you do decide to purchase them. |
