Your phone will pair OK, but you won't be able to have your phone book sync with the A6. I was so mad about this, I switched to T-Mobile, which works perfectly with the C6 A6. catastrofe 09-26-2006, 04:29 AM I did a lot of research on this as I switched from Cingular to Verizon. I have a C6 A6 Avant. The phone book is "transported" thru bluetooth via "object push", and that ability is dictated by the phone, not the provider. The Razor V3M does not have object push so Mike is correct. . .no phonebook capability. I got the LG VX5300 and it works just fine. Verizon has a listing of bluetooth profiles on their site here: http://support.vzw.com/how_to_use/bluetooth_car_kit.html Look at the column called "PB Transfer" to determine whether the phonebook will transfer to your A6. hzhao 09-26-2006, 05:25 AM Thanks all. I had Treo650 before. Although the PB did not transfer, but "Speed Dial" was transfered under Phon Book on A6, is still holds the true for V3m? DeMOROlized 09-26-2006, 06:25 AM The phone as designed is capable of OBEX. Now if someone can hack it to put that function back in... pierreb 09-26-2006, 07:06 AM DeMOROlized 09-26-2006, 09:42 AM pierreb 09-26-2006, 09:54 AM

Here's a decent write-up

DeMOROlized 09-26-2006, 10:22 AM However, are you sure you need the car kit to do phonebook on the A6? Because you can definitely use BT to do phonebook on the A4. pierreb 09-26-2006, 10:41 AM If you have an AT-capable kit, it should work with most VZW phones. If you have an OBEX-only kit, you're SOL most of the time. Kevin B 09-26-2006, 07:46 PM jazznuts699 09-27-2006, 02:27 PM my Cingular v3 razr has worked perfect since day one. The only quarry i have is that when i search through the dialed numbers in MMI they are in reverse order, meaning the latest call i made is the last on the list and you have to scroll through them all (cant go to the last one from the beginning)... awhhaa 09-28-2006, 11:34 AM Have my Razr V3 on Orange. Bonds seamlessly with the A6 MMI. Absolute joy to use. Don't know about Verizon though ayap 09-28-2006, 09:01 PM no problem with my A6 Avant |
