Has anyone in Europe who is awaiting a new A6 been told by their dealer that there are delivery delays? I am leasing a 2.7TDI and I just checked with the lease company that it would be ready by the end of the week only to discover that they are now saying mid October. They claim there are delivery delays throughout Europe.

Was I angry? No! calm, collected as always :-(

Has anyone else had this because I have a feeling that I am being taken for a ride and there was a problem with the order not getting through?

Sounds like you are being taken for a ride, the production of my order started this week, a week ahead of schedule!!

I suspect you might be right. They were very apologetic and have given me a brand new A4 Avant 2.0TDI to tide me over. Something tells me that the garage forgot to order it because I put in a delayed order (They offered me an early Augsut delivery but I wanted mid September) due to the timing of the end of my previous lease and a very good deal from the garage.

Oh well, it is nice to try a base A4 so I will be even more impressed by the A6.

BTW what is your model?

Was told that I could have had a new solid black or solid red, 2.0 Tdi a couple of weeks earlier!!

So there would be no delivery difference - I am sure it is not the colour :-(

TBH sounds like a ****e dealer, not a great start to a customer/dealer relationship when the lie right off the bat like that!!

True but I will never go back to them - it was simply a deal that I did through the lease company - With the discount they offered I got air suspension and full nav basically for free. I will use one of the Belgian importer's main dealers for servicing etc.

At least they gave me a 0 km A4 2.0TDI to play with until mine arrives. When I went to pick it up I thought the whole set up was a bit run down - nothing like the best dealers in Brussels

Just heard my A6 is awaiting shipment, just over a week away.
