I don't know if this supercharger is for the current model year V8's but the publication was just released fairly recently. So i would assume it is. I believe I remember reading that the driveline components in the typical A6 are only rated at about 350 to 380 HP. Suddenly applying 450 HP to these components is likely to cause some shredding and tearing noices. Or at least significant problems over time.

And you can be sure that Audi would deny any warranty claims with an aftermarket supercharger being added and HP being pushed well above their spec.

I have even heard of an internal dealer network memo that discusses voiding any driveline warranty claims if the tires/wheels have been plus sized. Have not been able to validate, but the source is usually reliable.
