7400 miles. . ."driven by the dealership's owner's wife". How much off invoice should I expect?

that means it's been beat on. I'd check to see if it's been smoked in, accidents, had dogs, bags thrown in it, etc.

get the numbers for both new and used. If you are buying, you're going to get nailed on the depreciation end--plan on long term 6-8 year ownership.

If you went in with an 06 wagon w/ 7K on it, that's what they'd give you.

price out the new...IMO I think these "dealer demo" cars are a risk.

If a dealer (Fred Baker link) is offering 8K off MSRP on new 06 cars, sedans in this instance, then they could work something on this one.

http://www.fredbakerporscheaudi.com/specials.asp</a

15% for Certified, 20% otherwise.

I paid $45K for a loaded Avant with 10K miles and an invoice price of $56,240. A little higher than my target, but I got exactly what I was looking for...
