Once again I am getting the "Air Bag" warning light. I just had it fixed, so this is my third trip in. The dealer has to keep the car for the weekend to get Audi to investigate it on Monday. I just had the software updated and new sensors put in the rear seats. Arrrgh!

Oh, and they are replacing the broken latch piece on the center console (the cheap plastic one used to latch the non-useful cell-phone compartment - now random storage bin.)

I'll post a follow-up when they discover the bug.

Meanwhile, I got an A4 2.0 loaner. It's more fun to drive than I thought it would be. I would definitely get a bigger engine on that one. I like my A6 better.

THis is very frustrating. They have replaced sensor under passenger seat, replaced a seat belt, updated softare twice. Always happens when my car is full of passengers.

It happened when there were four passengers in the car. I hope they fixed yours (that means they can fix mine!)

2005 A6 3.2, almost the same options as yours, with beige interior.

Been in the shop three times for a rear seat airbag light issue. Only happens when I have 4 or 5 passengers (i.e. rarely).

Seems fixed now, after they changed the seatbelt I believe.

I will take it back in to the dealer tomorrow.

I think it's the center seatbelt causing mine. They did a software update on it this last time in, we shall see.

The mechanics said they were on the phone at least four times with the factory. The problem was solved by clearing all the error codes and custom wiring resistors in the rear seat belt circuits. (I already had some of the sensors replaced last time - this was visit number four.) I have not tested it yet by loading it up with passengers. The service rep said to take extra care to note conditions next time (eg. number of passengers, air temperature, etc). Although fixed I have a feeling I'm not done. We'll see.

I'm sorry I don't have any details on types of resistors or where attached. Good luck to all who follow, though.

BTW...center console latch replaced also.

And the dealer always washes the cars before they return it to the owners (they ask permission first) which is a nice touch. Sunset Audi, you get an "A" for effort.

Cant you guys take it back and get a new car under A lemon law? 3 strikes your out type of deal. Or is this just a Floridal law?
