I can't figure out how to tell the Nav system that I want it to take me to the closest Blockbuster Video or Nordstrom's or "fill in the blank."

Sure there are lots of categories like ATM's, gas stations and airports, but how the heck do you tell it to find specific retail outlets or music stores or Best Buys when these are not in any of the available categories?

I hope I'm just missing something really basic here.

the nav is pretty basic compared with Lexus or Acura, where you can type on the screen and choose restaurant type or name.

I bought it to use in my other car or when I fly and rent cars. Now I find myself using it in the A6 because the maps and points of interest are worlds better.

I am on a driving trip for work this week from Chicago - South Bend, IN - Kalamazoo, MI - Grand Rapids, MI - Holland, MI - Chicago. If I didn't bring the Nuvi with me I would have been lost. All of downtown Kalamazoo is missing in the Audi nav. Whole towns are missing. The Nuvi has every little country road, lots of restaurants, stores, etc.

I really wish I hadn't paid $2k for the Audi nav when my little $700 Nuvi blows it away. The Nuvi also lets me add a traffic receiver. That reminds me, my dad just got a notice in the mail from BMW that he can upgrade the navi in his 530xi with traffic. I haven't heard anything about adding traffic to the Audi nav. It doesn't surprise me.

http://www.garmin.com/products/nuvi360/</a
