Teh good - The C6 4.2 gets noticed - not too many around - gas jockeys, neighbors and co-workers have asked about it (but none really knew what the S-Line was); Bose definitely improved compared to my old '01; love those swiveling headlights at night; Bluetooth working seemlessly w/Verizon Razr; 19" wheels + 35 series tires = studly appearance and massive grip; main console cup holder not only works, but works well; rock steady and quiet at speed - 90 in the C6 feels like 60 in the C5; it seems like the side bolsters on the sport seats are more pronounced on the C6 = better support

Teh bad - hood slope + wider car = very poor sense of where the front right corner is - noticeably worse than the C5; 19" wheels + 35 series tires = hand wash only, too chancy to run through auto car wash (a pain, but probably a good thing in the long run); 19" wheels + 35 series tires = a little squirrelly on the highway - very sensitive to wheel input; CD changer in glove box = not much space for anything else; no more dash cup holder and the arm rest has to be raised to access the second console cup holder; it seems like the side bolsters on the sport seats are more pronounced = harder entry and egress; 2.5 hours in the driveway with the manuals, and I still don't know how to work the nav or the voice activation - technology package requires substantial homework

Next Step - get that 1k on the odometer and find out what FSI and 50 more HP feels like

Conclusion - I'm pretty farkin happy!

I have an 2005 3.2 with 18's and pretty much everything else and you are spot on with all of your observations. You should be doing this for a living. This is much better than Warren Brown's worthless reviews in my local rag - The Washington Post.

Problem, I have had is the memory gets full and you can't add "Play" commands or nav destinations after so many.

Why in a car with Sirius or XM would you limit your total Play Radio Station Commands so severly?

I'd think 256 saved commands would be a no brainer, costing about a $2.37 memory chip.

Nav system is great, needs the ability to spell and give street addresses via voice, instead of "navigate to" command, but really that is a nit.

I cannot imagine this car with the mmi and all WITHOUT voice command, it ought to be illegal without it.

Do not expect too much at 1000 miles. We had some messages months ago about engine break-in governed by ECU, so that, for most owners, 5000 and 10,000 miles gave real boosts in engine output. In my case with 3.12 L, 3800 and 8500 miles.

She sounds like a beauty! You're correct in your post below where you say, "I definitely have to buy a camera now - no more excuses - gotta post pix". Show us some pics! If you need a suggestion, I can vouch highly for the Nikon D2X; I got one a few months ago (upgraded from a D100) and it's fantastic (though a bit pricey).

Very happy with my new 07 with 500 miles under my belt. Much happier with the feel of the steering wheel - not as boosted as my C5. Played around with sport mode yesterday - wow!

MMI is great but, who wants anymore data input in their lives??
