Has anyone had any success upgrading their firmware to 2120? If so, did the dealer have any clue or info on it? Was it a free upgrade?

YES, but is it for euro MMI only,i changed my MMI controler(not just the software) to a EURO version,i like it but it has pros and cons

pros:
1 no more lawyer screen

2 added some languages like german and french

3 added a Display interface for TV tuner(with FBAS green connector)so i retrofited AUDI's oem tv tuner

4 some extra options on bluetooth

cons:
1 nav problems ( no more us english ,replaced with the wierd uk english , and some extra unknown icons on the nav map that cant be truned off)

2 ugly TMC sign on the middle bottom of the display

3 no dynamic station list on radio tuner , shorter rds text

4 my info botton was converted to TMC control botton

Did a dealer change the MMI controler or did you do it yourself - what was the cost etc ?

My reason for asking is, my controller doesn't have the FBAS connector, and the TV Tuner sitting in my shed would really like to be sitting in my A6 !

You answered my previous post where I was asking on how to get an additional input for TV. Would you say that with your version you can now attach any A/V source or it is strictly for the OEM TV Tuner?

do it your self , just take off the glove box and it mounted right over the glove boxwith 2 hex bolts

What did it cost you / where did you source the controller with the FBAS input ?
