Hi,

I've got a 2005 A6 with the MMI GPS AND TV System with the AV1 and AV2 connectors.

I've managed to connect a nightshot camera (to get night vision) an iPod and even a computer.

The problem is that as soon as the car moves i lose the video feed so my night vision and the titles and cover albums of the ipod are lost (i've got the sound though)

I'm a responsible driver and i'm not planning to watch movies at 70 mph !

Any hints on how to enable the video feed from AV1 and AV2 inputs ?

Many Thanks in advance !

Elie

post how you were able to get TV and GPS on your MMI screen. I'm looking to do the same.

Not so much the GPS, but the TV. I'm tired of burning my daughter's cartoons onto DVD and playing them on a laptop.

There is a tool you can buy that costs about ^1700 that will diable the function. There are also a couple of companies in Germany that do a send-in mod where you send them your TV tuner and they mod it for you.

Nav-TV UK are starting to offer this service and they are using my A8 as beta.

You may be able to connect a dvd player to it, though. The DVB-T tv tuner is currently available only in those markets other than the US. They're still waiting for the final iteration of our digital TV to develop.

Ciberg, Thank You very much !

Spoke with Kufatec today and their system does just that : it enables the video source while moving.

They do it by programming a 'secret code' into the display unit controller.

The bad thing is that you have to take apart this unit and send it to them so that they can program it.

149$ is not expensive compared to other systems but it's only a software code after all.

Audi does know how to do it at the factory (they did it for a friend) but they won't give it to local Audi dealerships !!!

My local Audi tech is willing to do it but so far the factory flatly refuses to give him the information needed.

Anybody happens to know the code ?

Thanks !
