I just got the A6 and I also just got a Motorola V710. This is my first bluetooth phone so I am not quite familiar with how it works.
So far I have set it up to work in my Audi but when I leave with the car with my phone and then come back it does not automatically connect and I have to go through the connection menu's on the phone and find the 'Audi' and then it finds the car and connects.

Is there a way to make this automatic or do I have to go through this everytime I enter the car ?

I have prograqmmed blue tooth as my shortcut for the up arrow but it won't allow me to program the menu in hte phone when for 'Audi' which is 2 menu's after the bluetooth ...

thanks for any help you can offer ...

Step one is to make sure you've got the most recent firmware (it ends in .40.0R). The next thing is to check under settings, car settings, that auto handsfree is set to ON.

BTW, I find that it isn't 100% reliable when getting in and out of the car as far as reconnects go. Sometimes I'll see the BT logo on the MMI and a "please wait" message in the telephone screen. And you won't get any phonebook compatability (but I'm holding out hope that an MMI software upgrade will solve this, as the phonebook is allegedly compatible with the 06 A6, which, I'm betting, uses the same BT radio but a newer BT stack).
