View Full Version : Anyone else think the non-sport seats are uncomfortable?

I came out of a B5 S4 in which I was able to adjust the seat so that the front part was more elevated than the rear.

This created nice support for my legs.

In the C6 A6 I can't get the same seat position and I feel my lower back arching to compensate for the "slipping out of my seat" feeling. This gets extremely uncomfortable after 20 minutes or so and I find myself adjusting the lumbar and fooling around with the seat controls to try and find a sweet spot. No luck so far and it's not looking good.

I wonder if the Sport seats have a similar range of adjustment that my S4 seats had?

Hi,

It does take some time to find the right position but once dialed in and saved using the seat memory you should be all set. It took me about 2 hours of driving and adjusting to find the right position. Use the lumber support adjustment to fine tune the position for your lower back. Remember the lumber support doesn't just go up & down, it also goes in and out so you can set it right into your lower back position for great support. Give it a try.

had the same problems. Only a few were ultimately unable to find something cozy.

The seats aren't designed to be "time to take a nap" cozy, nor are they S4-level race-ready. They're somewhere in between, with not as much bolstering, obviously. You have to get the lumbar support and angle of tilt right. Try to arrange things so that your feet can firmly plant on the floor, with your torso as low as necessary to make a right angle, then go from there.

It took me 2 weeks to figure out my sweet spot. I was getting a lot of foot fatigue. What I did was start with foot comfort. Start with the seat cushion and find the length and height and tilt for your driving foot. I then adjusted the steering wheel and then I adjusted the back. Then I fine-tuned it all.
