Hi all,

I just bought a 2004 A6 2.7L quattro w/bi-turbo engine. It was new from the dealer; he wanted to get his remaining 2004s off his lot, so I think (hope) I got a good deal on it! :)

Anyhoo ... just wanted to make sure this is the right Audi forum to come to for my type of Audi. I also saw an A6 C5 platform, but I have nooooo idea of the difference between C5 and C6.

What's the difference between C6 and C5? Or, should I just haul my C5-self over to the C5 board and leave you C6'ers alone? :)

I owned a C5 4.2, as did many of the folks on this C6 forum. They do inspire love and affection, don't they? Not Japanese-level reliability, but I can just about promise you that you'll feel as good about your car in 4 years as you do now. I sure did...had trouble letting her go.

The C5 is the body style you have just purchased and the C6 is the new body style that came out in November 2004. I'm sure you've seen the ads on TV if not the new C6 cars on the road or at your dealer.
