Took the safe route with phone & cradle from the Audi approved list. Phone works great and phonebook copied with no glitches. Also had my Valentine One hard-wired at my 5K service today so I'm in great shape now. Love my car!

Can you post some pictures of your hardwired V1?
Did you have the stealership do this for you?
What did it cost?

Key Audi took care of it for me. I simply provided an RJ11 wall/phone cable. End result is my V1 mounted high on windshield just to right of rear view mirror. Three inch lenghth of cable is visible leading from my detector into the headliner. Still aligns V1 sensors w/ back windshield and is just visible from my driving position.

Did you make your own RJ11 patch cord or did you buy the short version that V1 sells online?

that came with your V1 and run it into one of these:

You can get them at Pep Boys. My total V1 install time including hooking up a Concealed Display was about 15 minutes.<ul><li><a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002BGELQ/104-0424303-4415903?v=glance">LITTELFUSE ADD-A-CIRCUIT FUSEHOLDER</a></li></ul>

All I did was bring a 12' long RJ11 and the dealer did the rest. Valentine says that they just snip one end and pull the two center wires(power& ground)and hook uo.
