Those that have phones with the voice command feature. Please let me know if you can still use the voice command function from your phone or do you have to have voice recognition in your car and then the command goes through the MMI. Which means you have to "name tag" in your directory and then you can voice command the phone through the MMI. Am I confused or what?

I couldn't use voice commands for my phone book, as I had to move the data to my SIM card so that MMI would download it from the phone.

I ended up duplicating my phone book into the MMI directory so I could be totally hands free.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to use pauses with MMI for checking voicemail without having to dial in my ext and password manually during the call - I don't think you can do it...any thoughts?

I had to delete the pauses and extra numbers like extensions and pins, because they interfered with the MMI. When I tried to dial numbers that had them the call would not go out. That was with the V710.

I'm assuming you do not have voice recognition. If you did, there is a way to assign nametags to a limited amount of numbers and then voice command them to dial out.

Basically, I think we all loose the voice command features on our phones when we use the MMI.
