It ran great, but when it shifted from first to second there was a slight hesitation, the feeling of a governor coming on or like the loss of fuel. The check engine light stayed on all the time and the dealership couldnt figure out the problem.

The Audi rep did an awesome job and immediatly ok'ed a replacement at my first mention of my disatisfaction with the ongoing repair process.

And so a month later I was offered an 05 A6 4.2 that had a higher MSRP than the S4 and I thought about all of .02 seconds and said DEAL.

I just had my fathers S4 cab for almost a month and loved it.
I want to trade in my Allroad soon and am not sure which Audi to go with. How do you compare the S4 cab to the A6 4.2 I know they are 2 very different cars but they share the same engine ... is the A6 feel as quick and responsive as the S4 does as far as power is concerned ?

In my opinion the A6 is a much more "fun" car than the S4 Cab. While I do miss dropping the top, the driving fun factor more than makes up for in the A6.
