I owned a 98 2.8 until about a year ago where I decided to trade it in with a new A4 1.8T 190 HP Avant Quattro. I loved the A4, but it was simply too small for my needs. The cargo space was much less than the A6 even though the A4 was an avant and the A6 was a sedan. On top of that my almost 3 year old daughter would limit the front passenger space when she is in the back.

Now I decided to trade in the A4 and go back to an A6 again. I found a beautiful silver 3.2 Quattro that the owner of a German audi dealership had driven himself for a couple of months. We agreed on a trade in price over the phone and via email, and this week I drove down from Sweden to Germany to pick it up.

I covered 3000 km (almost 2000 miles) in a little more than 48 hours, but it was worth it!!

I don't have any pictures yet, but I will post some in near future.

I got these options (direct translation, sorry if it's not correct):

- Black Volterra leather interior
- DSP sound system
- Full size spare wheel
- Driver information system
- Navigation
- Heated front seats
- Mobile phone
- Xenon plus
- Storage package
- Light package
- Multifunction leather steering wheel
- Electric sun roof
- Ski bag
- Advanced key
- Side airbags in the rear
- Wood inlays
- Alarm
- CD changer
- Electic lumbar support
- Accoustic parking system
- Daylight running lights
- Cruise control
- Comfort climate plus

I already debadged it, and in my x-mas holiday I will install a lower suspension. For the winter I will keep the 16" wheels that came with the car, but I'm getting 18" before the summer.

What does it take to lower the suspension? How much does it cost and where did you get the parts?

All that is needed is new springs. H&R have a set of springs that lowers the car 40 mm, and they are around 200 Euro for the kit.

I'll install the springs myself, but the car has to have a 4 wheel reallignment afterwards which will cost another 60-80 Euro.

Just wondering why you would debadge the car?

Why not ?

I like the clean look without any badges except for the Audi rings. Do you disagree ?

I have a 4.2 due for delivery in December and I'm debadging both the A6 and the 4.2

The main reason is stealth. I don't want to attract attention when it's parked downtown, or from the cops. Besides I like the unassuming look of a debadged car like this one. It looks far more elegant in my opinion.
