I have an A6 on order, which should arrive in December. It's an oyster/amaretto 4.2 with sports pkg, winter pkg, nav and Bose. I'm really excited to take delivery, it'll replace my Grand Cherokee and then some!

The question I have is about Digital Music. I have a kenwood music keg in my Jeep and I love being able to have instant access to all my music. What options does the new A6 have as far as playing digital music goes? has anyone tried loading MP3 CDs, or connecting a phatnoise box to it?

Thanks in advance.

Only satellite radio is avail at the time. The CD changer will not read MP3's and phatnoise is not MOST compatible but they are working on one.

the C6 offers a glovebox 6 disc CD Changer. In theory, you could probably build an adaptor to allow you to plug the PhatBox in it's place....but I haven't seen any of these connectors to make that determination.

I would be curious to see how the CD Changer is connected to the stack of electronics in the trunk. I bet they use a similar blaupunkt connector.

Again...this is all theory...and no practice.

Also, I'm not sure if anyone has attempted to run a kwood mKeg in an Audi (let alone a C6) via the Audi specific trunk cable. For one, you'd need the cable...then you'd need to update the firmware. There is some loss in functionality between the Audi-specific PhatBox and the Kwood Keg (i.e. the Audi version is better).

Audi specific CD Changer Cable:
The part number is 000-051-592A.

Search on phatnoise.com in the forums section for more details.

good luck!
