In case you haven't seen the mag, Car and Driver posted the review of the C6 (4.2) on the web. The review of the new Acura RL is also posted which is interesting.

So, if you compare the RL with the 3.2 A6 (which are my two choices), which do you go with? After first leaning toward the Acura, I'm now thinking it will be another Audi for me.

My lease is up on the '01 A6 and have to buy something by the end of the month. Have an '05 RL and an '05 A6 (3.2) ordered (refundable deposit).

Got a call from Acura dealer saying my RL is in and to stop by this weekend and "pick it up". A little presumptuous on their part, but I'll play the game. My Audi is due 11/22 so I'm going to stop by Audi prior to going to Acura this weekend and get the best price from both (MSRPs are nearly equal).

I'm really torn between the two. Having a current Audi with no issues and actually liking the new style of the C6, but concerned about reliability and residual values on the one hand. On the other hand Acura has a bulletproof build quality and lots of cool features like traffic, but ho-hum styling and no passenger seat height adjustment (girlfriend is 5'3").

Its going to get down to price and I'll let you know what happens.

I looked at the same choices and went with the Audi. The RL's looks are not as good. The A6 is a work of art!

I drove the 4.2 in the sport suspension and found it to be very similar to the BMW 545. It was tight, sporty and tracks like a pro. Great cars.

I drove the new RL and IMO it doesn't come close to the A6 (or the MB E class either). It doesn't handle as well, isn't nearly as quiet or solid on the highway, and kinda reminds me of a Honda. That's surprising since I've really enjoyed my Acuras in the past. My wife and I agreed that the RL is much less car than the A6. YMMV.
