I'm curious how they compare.
I recently purchased a 330Ci and a 528iT 5 speed, and love the way they drive (both sport/premium).
Basically everything I've heard of BMW is true: top notch driving characteristics and $hitty plastic interiors. They're not horrible, in the way that Audi's don't drive horrible, but clearly Audi takes the cake in aesthetics inside and out, where comparable BMWs outperform the comparable Audi's in 'feel, performance, etc.
Just curious how well Audi's closed the gap with the C6, sport package for sport package. Also, for the knee jerkers out there, note that I've had 5 Audi's over a span of 15 years, and this is my first BMW purchase, and it was something of a spontaneous decision (still need a wagon, sick of driving an automatic, the allroad's too heavy and soft in the knees and the S4 too small, and this relatively rare wagon happened to be available at the same time we were buying my wife a white/tan 330Ci). The wagon was also white/tan, and the salesman's names at both stores was 'Larry', so I figured it was meant to be. Whatever.
Regardless, I doubt I'll move further in the BMW line as the new cars are just a little too ugly, and I'm hoping for something from Audi with a C6 S6 avant. Reading about the vast improvement over the C5 has me less excited about the C5 S6 and RS6, hence my curiousity re both the upcoming avant and the 4.2...
