Does anyone know exactly what functions the forthcoming new A6's Voice Activation option will activate and, perhaps, control, as well as how it will be operated?

Also, how will the new A6's Bluetooth ready phone capability work, e.g., will one simply be able to synchronize a Bluetooth phone with the car and then be able, perhaps by pushing a button, use the phone "hands free" through a microphone and speaker in the car?

voice recognition will control both MMI and the blluetooth phone. He said the phone/console cradle was $700 from Audi parts, and would accept four or five different cell services (including Verizon, the only one I asked about).

I wonder, though, whether any other phones will be compatible with the console socket?

I have had it and have also read reviews on it. It is very unreliable and very susceptible to errors, especially with any noise as when you are traveling. Also different drivers will have 'fun' with it.
