Well, I swapped out my summer wheels with my winter setup last week and haven't driven it since. Yesterday, I start it up, engine (check), lights (check), radio (check), etc., but when I put it in reverse it won't budge. When I put it in drive, it won't budge.
For a second I thought maybe I left the 2"x4" behind the wheels after the change, but nope.
So, what manner of malfunction could this one be? It's certainly a new one to me. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

...are you using longer bolts for your summer wheels???

Yes, I kept the longer bolts in, because I couldn't get the spacers off. I figured that the extra length would equate.
I'm going to try that. Thanks guys.

...so even with the spacer, if there is not as much as much wheel thickness between the seat and the mounting surface, the bolts will be too long.
If you cannot remove the spacers, use a piece of wood as a "chisel" and bang on the side of the spacer until it is freed up. Next time you need to mount those spacers, us a bit of anti-seize.
I'd say try some lubricant (like PB blaster) but you are so close to the brake rotors, I'd worry about contaminating the rotor surface.

<duck very quickly>
Seriously though- I wish you luck in finding the root cause.

My wife has been running my ass ragged fixing up the house. I don't drive it anyway, so there it sits.
