If true -- if Audi is guaranteeing DRC less than the rest of the RS4 -- isn't that a tacit admission from Audi that the DRC system is inferior and prone to failure?

Any attorneys on this board want to comment?

of limiting the DRC warrantee to 12/12 on the NEWER car, they should have eaten it and made it a life time warrantee.

This will come back to haunt Audi...

If you knowinging buy an RS4, knowing the DRC issues, you'd have to be an ASS not to insist that the dealer supply an extra warrantee for the DRC.

If you unknowingly by an RS4, not knowing about the DRC, that is a shame....

They could at the very lease come up with another set of springs and shocks, say from the S4, that can be swapped and still have the factory warrantee, that would limit Audi's expense on this failed suspension system.

I inquired about this for my car, and they said the S6 shocks would fit.

Probably from 2004 or 2005. Can't be sure, I'm on the road til next week so can't look it up right now. But as I recall, in attempting to defend DRC, he admits a few things. Maybe I'll transcribe it here when I get back.

Actually I couldn't find the original letter, but I remembered posting the text about two and a half years ago at the rs6.com forum per the link.
