View Full Version : So, my DRC seems to have failed again but the dealer said someone (the original owner I guess)...

added 10 mm spacers all around and that this is contributing to rubbing during compression. They have ordered OEM bolts (shorter, I guess) to go back to OEM spec. Anyone ever added spacers and have rubbing problems? This is the third DRC repair in less than 500 miles.

send a DRC tech from HQ to deal with it. You've gotta get Mad!

repaired as many others. :(

Good luck and I hope they get it corrected for you soon. I thought Audi would find a long term solution when this issue originally came to light. Alas- common sense seems to be lacking at Audi.

If your dealer tried to tell you the spacers were somehow related to your DRC failures, I would suggest you recommend to your dealer that he try desperately to get his head out of his posterior. They are completely unrelated issues.

On the other hand, spacers on an RS6 are probably not a good idea for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is rubbing.

DRC failure since I have experienced a rubbing/scrapping sound underneath that was, in fact, DRC failure-related. The dealer is just trying to get the car right so that we can isoloate suspension issues and what really relates to a DRC failure. I think the DRC has failed again, but they are saying there is no leakage so therefore it has not failed.
