View Full Version : Heres a close up, VDO pob Phil S 11-15-1998, 03:37 PM Again sorry for the poor quality, I'm new at this. Jon 11-15-1998, 03:54 PM Could you please tell me where you purchased this pod (from VDO direct??) and the telephone number of the vendor... BTW, what colour is the pod and the screws which hold it down? It looks from the picture that it matches the material of the pillar pretty well... Did you paint it yourself or did it come that way?
Thanks in advance... Phil S 11-15-1998, 04:18 PM The pod is a Nopi pod from a Talon or a Mustang I can't remember but I was able to take it out to my car in the wraper and just sort of eye ball it. Yes I painted it myself, first I used 3M,P.R.O. Bond Polyolefin Adhesion Promoter, then a ftat plastic paint I picked up at a parts store, I do not recall the brand, but the good stores will have a couple that are close enough to match. The screws can be had also at any parts store, I found that securing it with screws was the only way to really get the pod tight to the molding. I also used those flat type washer/nuts often seen in radio installs as nuts so the pod is not going anyplace. Call JD's in Bedford Hills, NY they can tell you what I bought, tell them Phil the guy with the Silver A4 told you to call 914-666-5337, ask for JIM. Rich Quinlan 11-15-1998, 07:36 PM For example running the vacuum hose and oil line up the pillar to the gauges?
It does look like a good fit, if you could find the specifics of the pod I'd really appreciate it... I NEED to get one soon, as I'm buying a boost gauge and an a/f ratio meter....
TIA,
Rich Quinlan
Gaugeless 1.8tqms

Quinland

Bert 11-16-1998, 07:39 AM |
