I have been looking at a RS6 for my next Audi and was wondering about it as a daily driver. I drive around 130 miles a day 80% Chicago highways. I'm concerned that this is not really what this car is setup for and I would have allot of shop time or other issues.. Thoughts?

The RS 6 is a very well mannered sports sedan. The suspension is a bit stiffer, but other then that the cars road manners are just fine for daily driving. It's a great cruiser and all it takes is your right foot to go from 4-door sedan to 4-door rocket.

...a low miles car with lotsa warranty left.
there is absolutely no downside to daily driving this car if you find one for a good price. and with the quattro, you can daily drive it anywhere.

BUT it makes lots of trips to Lowe's and can haul more than you think when you put the seats down. I just have a plastic table cloth in the back to keep it clean when hauling items home.

Thanks for the information.
I was talking to a sales guy from an Audo dealer and he suggested they were a high maintenance car, used oil and u needed a special oil.. just alot of overhead. I have an A6 4.2 and love it.. figured this would be a good next ride...
Thanks

I sold two motorcycles and my truck because my RS6 is such a thrill to drive day in day out all year round. Go for it!

and I have great loaners when it is down. Which it is not anymore thanks to quality people working on it. 4.2 is a strong car, but when two turbos kick in on top of it...

When not driven hard, the car is very practical. For an every day car, you will not find a better all out car that can do everything from carry five people confortably, out run most exotic two doors, perform in any winter condition (with M/S tires for winter driving) and still gets really good gas mileage. Better mileage than most 8 cyls. I am sure everyone here will agree with me. As far as resale value, because of mileage driven, it is the least depreciating car in the luxury hotrrod segment and is a fine choice for packing on the miles. If you have any other questions. I know I will be getting a 35,000 mile RS6 shortly. I will have the details shortly on it.
