Hi, I am new to the RS6 forum. Over the winter I bought a RS 6. I just tracked it and need to get better pads. Can I turn the OEM rotors? The car has only 25k miles. Appreciate your help.

Did you not get the rest of the warranty when you bought it? Audi replaces pads and rotors for the warranty period..If you are paying out of pocket, you might want to explore some of the replacement kits others have found.
Over on RS6.com there is alot of info about this...

rotors are definitely worn but still in 'spec'

By that I mean, is it still under 50K miles? Clearly the 4 year period has yet to expire, however if the car is above 50K miles, the warranty is gone.

Check with your dealer, where you bought the RS6 or get it serviced, and it is possible that you may need new rotors, and they can replace it under warranty.

As for pads, you can go aftermarket. Here is JJV's opinion after tracking the RS6.

You can also go aftermarket setup for rotors, pads, and calipers. Check out Movi't.

I am already doing wear on the new pads with just winter driving. You are under warranty unless over 50K, dealer should take care of it for you. Track kills the pads fast.

put on some better pads, i.e. better heat dissapation. I was also going to change my brake fluid to high temp for tracking. I know I can get it done for warranty which is great, but I plan on enjoying the track with this car and don't want to be in the service department every other month for brakes. Thanks for the welcome. This RS6 is one of my dream cars that I wanted and it's nice to have. I also have an 02 M3. It was fun killing the BMW's on the straight aways! (and a lambo too).
