RS6's are overrated, overpriced, outdated & behind in technology (vs. E55, CLS55, M5, M6)... how do you feel about it?

"Hands down dude.. thats the best looking car on the road today.. awesome" Of course he meant the model not mine specifically... but I get this kind of comment and thumbs up from people on the strreet and in other cars.. I dont feel inclined to do that to any of the abovementioned cars tho and I dont see others do it..

to go somewhere - whether it's a road trip or just out to dinner or errands - any time i'm not in the RS, i wish i were. so many reasons why: looks, stealth, subtle design, power on demand, audi brand loyalty... and sometimes, the respect of "those who know".

weird, but 90% of the time, nobody knows what it is, but sometmes we have those days where people are just freaking out, young and old. had one of those recently. rare, but nice to know some people appreciate how special this car is.

sure there are other great marques and specific cars under them, but there is something about an Audi RS that rings true, for us, on a day-to-day basis.

don't give a rats ass what others think about our car! Every car gets dated....so why wouldn't the RS6? Only difference with this car "getting" dated....is we owners are having a blast while it gets "outdated"....p.s. I also own my first car...and it is outdated...65 Ford...so somethings are worth keeping in spite of what others might think.

Oops, I forgot -- there is no other hot rod midsized luxury sedan with AWD! :p

Overpriced? There's no such thing now IMO. Once it became available as a used car only, supply and demand determine price. It gets what the market will bear -- nothing more, nothing less.

Overrated? By who? Like any car it does have shortcomings, of course, most or all of which can be found on this forum. But for those of us who love to combine the visceral thrills and usefulness of rapid acceleration with the added grip and confidence that AWD brings, there is no other.

there's not much content in here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm an Audi owner and a Mercedes owner, so my heart is still with the Q... but just like to see what you guys feel about the RS6 vs. the competition.

pull away...all of them right off the lot with temp tags as yellow as mine...bye bye, not even remotely a challenge (as I suspect they have never lifted up a car magazine to understand they never had a chance). Oh and a new vette today...in front of me punched it at 30mph we stopped about 80...he didn't gain any distance on me at all for those brief seconds.

but I didn't buy my E500 to race anything, let alone a RS6... which I know well enough about (450hp, Q, DRC, etc etc..) I really like the looks of the RS6, don't get me wrong.

As far as the Corvette...nice... but it musta not been the C6 Z06... I think the RS6 will have some trouble with that beast.

seem to run into around Chicago with a portion of the Mercedes owners around here, they seem to think their car is the fastest large or luxury car and blatantly revs and takes off, next to, behind, and in front of me. I left out a CLK, but so far each day someone tries it and wants to see from light to light what they can do and twice on the on ramps of 90/94. Interestingly or oddly no one has even thought about it with a BMW around me. I am not looking for short races but they find me, and as long as I have clear road (no curves as I have no idea how this thing really handles) and no traffic, check of every direction for our boys in blue...need to protect the 4 rings (within reason of space, time, and with in reason of speed limits). Lost one car for being too aggressive just tooling around on my own, not looking to do that again.

I sure hope a C6 Z06 can take me. I am still adjusting to the fact I own a car that I can even contemplate playing with a regular C6 and I fit me, luggage and 3 other people very comfortably. My god this thing is a beast.

will be in the higher mph...the very illegal kind...vette would probaly catch you after the 80 - century mark (as reported on this forum...) as will the E55...notice you mentioned "many DRIVERS".... for me anyway that seems to be the case...its the driver that gives out as most people cannot handle speed for very long...besides, most other luxury perf cars turn into potential metal caskets during snow while we can go (albeit more carefully) on our merry way...
peace glad you are enjoying your beast!!!

I would take an RS 6 over an M5, E55 or STS-V any day. 4.4 to 60 and 12.8 quarter, with the comfort of the A6 design, tons of room and definitely the most aggressive look and options for higher performance.
