View Full Version : Clicking Noise in suspension

I want to bring this one up again. When driving slowly enough, I can hear a clicking kind of metalic clicking sound when turning, or going up or down a slight incline, etc.

I think it is the mount for the suspension position censor since this is a metal clip (spring steel), and has some play in it. I believe I can hear a similar noise from all four corners.

I don't think it is a problem, but I am curious if anyone else can hear it.

Thanks,

Mike

...so here is the raccoon update from the saga several months back:

I continued to bait that trap in my attic another two or three times, only to have the bait removed or partially eaten. Knowing my limts (and becoming VERY frustrated with my lack of success, especially with the eyes of AWOT now on this!), I called for professional help.

The guys who came reminded me a bit of Bill Murray's character in Caddy Shack. A bit odd, but VERY committed to their mission. Their assessment of my vermin problem: Mice. Guy said there was no way a raccoon would not have tripped that trap, and he found mouse crap around the attic. His Rx: Multiple packets of mouse bait tossed about the attic. No problems since.

Last week, however, I did however see a squirrel trying to enter my garage by gnawing on the wood trim. I gave him one of these through the open kitchen window, which ended the problem pretty quickly.

...I thought it was brake related. I hear the same ticking/pinging in the 04 B6 A4 1.8T loaner they give me as well. Have been under there more then one time and found nothing, but it still does it.

If you figure it out, please email me so I can resolve it too.

"Customer states ticking/clicking sound from wheel well area under harder cornering." "Could not duplicate sound at this time."

begin with. I used to live in an old condo building that had mice/rats (show me one old city building that doesn't) in the basement where the furnace units were. We tried glue traps, bait traps from Home Depot/Menards, etc... nothing worked. Then we had an old experienced rodent control guy come over to the building and he rid them of all mice/rats in about one week.

How? He mixed this powder poison in with a 1/2 can of tuna, with all the juice and they cleaned it out in a day. Mice/rats feed their young ones by regurgitating the food they just ate. Then, contrary to what you might think, mice/rats are very clean animals. They are constantly licking and cleaning themselves and their young ones. All it takes is a little cleaning on their part to spread it to the rest of the rodents and they were all dead in about a week.

I couldn't tell you where to buy the poison, but they love tuna apparently.

NEVER saw one again.

timing of trying to climb through the blades as it turned on....it wouldn't go near the trap with food in it....but got him anyway.

Many things not reproduced were all of the sudden noted, using this method.
