RS6 with blown rear shock? I just got a used RS6 with 21,000 miles and it is bouncing all over the place while driving, especially around turns. There is also a squeeking noise. I assume it's the shock but maybe it is a problem with the Dynamic Ride Control or Electronic Stabilization Program. Has anyone else had this problem?

I doubt DRC issue would cause "bouncing"

Thanks for the input. I have an appt. next week at the dealer. If it is a blown shock, should I demand both rear shocks or all four shocks be replaced? I can envision that the remaining three shocks with 21,000 miles would have a reduced amount of dampening characteristics compared to the brand new replacement, thereby creating unequal handling.

Call Audi of America, and ask them what the repair policy is. Find out first before you go to the dealer. The dealer has to follow their rules becaus they have to send back all bad parts for verification. You may learn that AoA policy on this is to your advantage, and you may learn it is not. You can also politly complain and rationalize for a full set to be done or half set and they may allow it.

Personally I've found AoA customer care.. to be top notch and helpful. But its all in how you talk to them.

good advice. I'll give AoA a call.

I just bought the car a couple days ago. I'm going crazy not being able to drive it. Repairs are scheduled for next week.
